‘ArCHARy: Aim for Gold with ADPR Humor Champs’ Sets to Strike on February 3 at PUP Bulwagang Balagtas!

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Polytechnic University of the Philippines—Department of Advertising and Public Relations (PUP-DAPR) is set to deliver its most anticipated annual Advertising Congress (AdCong) competition for senior ADPR students. This year, S1DLAK aims to strike a perfect balance of laughter and learning with “ArCHARy: Aim for Gold with ADPR’s Humor Champs!” taking center stage on February 3, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the PUP Bulwagang Balagtas.


ArCHARy is not just a typical event; it’s an integral part of the exciting series of events in the 21st AdCongress, which follows the theme “OlympiAD: Championing the Future of Advertising and Public Relations.” The event is designed to bring a balance of laughter and learning, mirroring the energetic and competitive spirit of the Olympic Games. Focusing on humor as a strategic tool in advertising, aligns with the "OlympiAD" theme, showcasing how humor is an essential part of execution in the advertising and public relations industries.


The event will feature three dynamic sessions designed to dive into the intricacies of humor in advertising and public relations: Humor in General, Humor in ADPR, and Humor Ethics. Each session is packed with valuable insights, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of humor’s role in the industry.


The speakers include industry experts like Hausmates, a comedy improv group known for their creative wit; Frederich and Neo,  content creators who will offer their unique perspectives on humor in the context of advertising and media; Sajid Guerrero, Co-founder at Leron Leron Sinta; Raymond Angat, Senior Copywriter at GIGIL; and Robbie Aligada, Executive Director at Ad Standards Council. 


More so, this will certainly be an event filled with laughter, all of which is sponsored by renowned and generous contributors like Keratin Plus, Midoko, LAHAT Jobs, Klik, Motivo, and Le’rese.
